Private Scuba Instruction
We offer the new scuba diving student the unique opportunity to take advantage of private scuba diving lessons at competitive prices. There are no set schedules for your lessons. We do it all by appointment, so that you can learn to dive at your own pace. We also make a commitment to our students that we will stick with you as long as it takes. It is all on your own time frame and done at your own pace.

We prefer that we do either individual students or a family at a time. We think this concept allows for the new diving student to learn at their own pace and ensures that the student gets the most out of the instruction.

Our philosophy is based the concept of “safety first.” We focus on all the most important dive safety issues. Because we are not a dive profit center, we can afford to spend more time with our students, so, that we may over-teach all the basics related to dive safety and the fundamentals of being a good diver.

We are very environmentally aware and want to produce divers that are both environmentally aware and have the skills to protect the underwater environment. We believe that as divers it is our responsibility to do all within our power to protect the underwater environment.
  • Academic Study
The first part of your scuba diver education is academics. Your academics starts with a home study session. We provide you with your textbooks, DVD and workbook. Once you have mastered the provided materials then we schedule an academic session where we focus on all the important issues of scuba diving that relates to diving safety and includes basic diving techniques and principals. At the conclusion of your academic session you will be given a written test where you will demonstrate your grasp of the issues related to scuba diving.

  • Pool/Confined Water
The next step is put you in our private pool where we teach you all you will need to know about your equipment and about the basic diving skills that you will need to be a scuba diver.
  • Open Water Work
The final step is your open water work, and this usually takes place at an area lake. This is a mandatory two days of work with at least five scuba dives. At the lake you will be required to perform all the basic skills you learned during the confined water session. However, once the required skills are successfully met, then we will immediately turn our focus onto the task of teaching you how use those newly learned skills during actual scuba dives. We don’t simply want to certify you, we want to teach you how to be a good scuba diver.

At the end of the open water session, you will be not only a certified scuba diver, but a diver with superior skills.

  • Continuing Diver Education
We believe that diving safety is directly related to a divers experience and knowledge. Therefore, we always encourage our beginning divers to take advantage of the opportunities we have for continuing diving education. We offer a full range of continuing diver educational classes from the advanced to Dive Master.

We also make a commitment to our students that if they ever feel the need to refresh their skills that we will provide an academic and pool refresher session at no cost to the student. We do this for a couple of reasons. First, we believe that it is important for all divers to keep their skills and knowledge current. Second, we also want to make sure our divers feel secure in their skills anytime they are going to get in the water after more than a few months lay-off from diving.
