Curaçao - February, 2008 Curacao is undergoing a boom now and is not only a lovely island to visit for the diving, but also for the topside fun and sites. Click images for close up view   A TOUR OF WILLEMSTAD During a surface interval - a little tour of Willemstad through the canal.   FLOATING MARKET The locals bring their wares to market here which is fabulously colorful and great fun to visit.   WALT'S POSE We settled in a little cafe on the water's edge in Willemstad to view the boats passing the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge. OLD FRIENDS Don't know if this is what Paul Simon had in mind, but it's the "Old Friends" of this century!   MY VIEW This was a lot of fun seeing the sites from a street cafe.   CURAÇAO DIVING GROUP Our diving group with the Ambrosi's who own Ocean Encounters in Curaçao. SOFT CORALS I'm very taken with the SLR, and can't resist pictures of tiny things.   SPOTTED ANEMONE SHRIMP Oooo - those eyes.   SQUAT ANEMONE SHRIMP There wasn't an anemone that didn't have a shrimp living in it! TRUK FISH These little guys are such odd shapes - it's a miracle they can get around - but they can swim fast when they're running from my lens!.   PICTURESQUE DIVING Wall diving in the beautiful ocean.   ANNIE THE DOLPHIN Swimming in the ocean with a live dolphin and I actually got to touch her! EEL ROW This eel could use some orthodonture work.   QUIET NOW And this one just got self-conscious after the last exhibition.   AND THEN LOUD This one just doesn't care what I think! PARROTFISH STILL At a cleaning station so he was real still!   DOUBLE TONGUES Two close together   TINY DRUM About 1/2" tall - very tiny. BEAUTIFUL FEATHERS Close up on those beautiful feather dusters.   THE WHOLE FEATHERS Far away view   XMAS FEATHERS Christmas Tree worms. FILE FISH HIDING These little guys like to hide in the soft coral which they look exactly like.   COWFISH They go around looking like they are trying to kiss everything!   TURTLE HIDING Hide - but not get away!
